Steve Stanulis
Steve Stanulis is an actor, producer, and former NYPD officer known for bringing real-world authenticity to film and television. A decorated police officer whose career shifted after an on-duty injury, Stanulis went on to work private security for high-profile clients, an experience that helped shape his transition into the entertainment industry. After studying at HB Studios in New York, Stanulis built a career spanning major studio films including The Interpreter and I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, as well as television appearances on The Sopranos and HBO’s The Deuce. In recent years, Stanulis has focused on producing and starring in independent films and series, establishing himself as a lead actor and content creator. His feature Monica received Independent Spirit Award recognition, while American Fango, Sam, and The Networker were all acquired by Sony platforms within a single year-an uncommon achievement for an independent filmmaker. Stanulis also starred in 5th Borough, a New York crime drama reflecting his street-level roots, and continues to develop projects grounded in real-life experience. His series Great Kills has gained a growing audience and viral traction, further cementing his presence in the crime and dark-comedy space. Beyond film, Stanulis created the Off-Broadway show Stripped, based on his experiences as a Chippendales performer, which was later picked up for a successful run at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas and received coverage in The New York Times. Drawing from his background in law enforcement and private investigations, Stanulis continues to develop film, television, and digital content centered on crime, power, and high-stakes human behavior-bridging the gap between real-world experience and cinematic storytelling.
